Night Conversation

I had dinner with family. We talked about what was going on in our lives, the good stuff and the difficult stuff. We played dice games and drank wine. We celebrated being alive in the way we do as a family; some of us talking loud and often while others speaking little with quiet voices. Some family laughed and enjoyed a good time while others grumbled and enjoyed a bad time.

The next morning I thought of my painting Night Conversations.
