PASTEL PAINTINGS - I work with soft pastels and pure pigment, layering color on sanded paper. The rough surface grips the pigment and allows me to blend for hours before it begins to wear down. This slow, tactile process creates smooth transitions, subtle shifts in tone, and endless possibilities for color.
